 Spreadsheet formula help!!!

I am trying to get a spreadsheet formula that will allow me to look at data for a specific month and specific person.   I can do an arrayfomula for the date sort OR person, but I can't get it to do it for both.  

=ArrayFormula(sumif(month(A5:A389);8)and(C5:C389;"Laurie");K5:K389)

A column has dates
C has names
K has the data

I don't know what else to try!!!  Please help,
